Honest CoA few weeks ago I was excited to attend the launch of The Honest Company at one of my favorite shops, The Baby Grocery Store.  I’m always on the lookout for safe, environmentally-friendly products for my family, and The Honest Co. is just that: all of their products are comprised of natural and organic ingredients, and are free of junk like artificial fragrances and dyes, petrochemicals, formaldehyde and a host of other risky chemicals.

The Honest Co. has a huge line of products available for purchase online only – or in person at The Baby Grocery Store! – but I was most curious about their diapers.  I’ve cloth diapered my two boys since they were newborns for a few reasons, and I’m honestly not a huge fan of disposable diapers.  I don’t like their chemically smell or the fact that a soaked diaper often leads to little crystalline beads exploding all over my baby’s diaper area.

But, they do absorb really well, so we’ve always relied on a disposable diaper to get us through the nights.  I was really excited to get my hands on The Honest Co.’s  eco-friendly diapers – they contain plant-based inner and outer layers, no harsh bleaches, fragrances, lotions or latex, and a bio-based wheat/corn blend in the core.  Plus, the patterns are adorable.

I was, admittedly, a little skeptical.  But, we’ve been using these on our boys every night and haven’t had a single leak or rash, and the scent is minimal.  Success!!  The downside to these is that at $13.99 a pack they DO cost a bit more than your average diapers, which may turn some people off.

For now though, this family is hooked.  Next up to try?  Their bath and body products!
